Dear Sly, I'm sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I was fortunate to have known your father. I was a trainer at Holiday Spa in Rockville Maryland back in the early 80's. Your Dad used to come in to workout. He was such a nice and easy going guy, and would take the time tell me what was going on in you and your brothers careers. You could tell how proud he was of his sons, his face would lite up when he mentioned both of you. My prayers are with you.

We know your Father, like mine several years ago is in the midst of that spectacular peace which passess our human understanding. Dear Sylvester I am so sorry to hear that your Dad passed away. I lost my father about 10 years ago and have found it very hard. I don't believe that we "get over it" as, in truth, we grieve for a loved one for the rest of our living days, our grief passing through many stages and colours. A teenage girl at the school where I worked, whom I didn't even know or teach, had heard about my Dad and wrote me a lovely letter. She had lost her Dad some time back and said that after a while the pain will subside and you will remember more the good times. She was right. I still miss him terribly but I draw on his memory and communicate with him so he still inspires my life and is an active force within it. All I can do is pass on that kind girl's words to you. May God bless and comfort you and your family at this difficult time. Ramesh.

So sorry to hear about your father! I can't imagine losing a parent at any stage in life. Whether they have been with you 10, 20 or 60+ years! I hope that you tresure the memories and they will inspire your future endeavors.
